The Drop
Contact

One inbox,
one guy reading it.

The Drop is written and published by Marty Ralston. There is no support desk and no contact form that routes into a void — every message below lands in the same inbox, and it is read by the person who writes the newsletter.

Corrections

If a verdict, a release date, or a "where to watch" line is wrong, say so and point at the page. Streaming rights move constantly and the guides get things wrong. Corrections are made on the page itself, not quietly deleted. Expect a reply within a few days.

Tips and shows to champion

Something good that nobody covered, something bad that everybody did — both are useful. Tell me what it is and why it stuck with you. Publicists are welcome to write in, but a press release pasted into an email gets read as one.

Sponsorship

Sponsorship details live on the sponsor page. Sponsored placements are labelled as sponsored and never dressed up as editorial, so the answer to "can we get a positive review" is no.

Unsubscribing

Every issue has a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom, and it works immediately. If it does not, email the address above and the address is removed by hand. What happens to your data is spelled out in the privacy policy.

Everything else

Hate mail included. If you got a recommendation from here and it wasted your Saturday, that is worth knowing too.

One email. Every Friday.

Stop watching slop.

Free forever. Unsubscribe in one click. We'll never sell your email to anyone, mostly because we don't know how.
